As soon as we saw that your question including those magical two words, "how to," we suspected that we'd able to track down some great sites to help you knot your neckwear. Our first stop was the aptly named site Tie a Necktie.com. There we found illustrated, step-by-step instructions that coverfour-in-hand, Windsor, and half-Windsor knots, as well as bow ties. Not content to simply find one tie-tying tutorial, we headed back to Yahoo!'s Neckties category (under Design Arts > Fashion and Beauty). There we spotted several more instructional sites, including The Tie Pages, which offers
line drawings and text detailing the aforementioned knots, plus the Shelby. Lastly, we turned to FashionMall.com for Alan Flusser's in-depth look at neckwear, part of his online book, Clothes and the Man. The fascinating overview covers history, trends, styles, knots and tie care.
