Although it is a novel idea, there is no need to shop offline for stuffed monkeys. In fact, we can only picture you scurrying from toy store to toy store in a fruitless search for the dolls until finally you give up, scratching your head in utter frustration. First we stopped at Yahoo! Shopping and did a search in the Toys, Games, and Hobbies department for "monkey." We turned up a gaggle of the stuffed creatures, though we didn't spot any of the spider variety. A quick search of the Stuffed Toys category in the Yahoo! directory (under Shopping and Services >
Toys) uncovered several promising leads. We checked out MJC Incorporated and found a wide variety of animal dolls, from fish to bunnies to cats to bears to jungle critters. That's where we found Pete, Pistol, and Paul, monkeys all, though not necessarily spider monkeys. Next, we dove into the Teddy Bears category and decided to browse through the offerings at Bear St.. After checking the impressive array of Gund brand animals and spying a couple of cute monkeys (Springer and Jabba), we decided to use the site's search function. This eventually led us to Animals Animals, which has dozens of amazing (and high-priced) animals from famous names like Steiff and Kosen. That's where we found our favorite: Steiff's Jumping Monkey. Sure, six of them will set you back about $1500, but isn't that better than paying a couple grand for a Beanie Baby?
