Dear Yahoo!:
What happened to Michael Moore's The Awful Truth that aired on the Bravo network on Sunday nights?
Gary
Southbury, Connecticut
Dear Gary:
At first, your question made us suspect that the The Awful Truth had been canceled, like Moore's previous series, TV Nation. Turns out the show is just a decision away from being alive and well.

Using your reference to Bravo as our starting point, we headed there hoping to find the show's schedule. We scrolled down the "What's On" page, and found a link called "An Encore Season of The Awful Truth," which led to Bravo's red, white, and blue Awful Truth page, where we learned the show is not currently airing. Not a word about next season either.

Another link took us off BravoTV to the official The Awful Truth site. Here, we found synopses of all eight episodes, press clips, information on the show's Emmy nomination, even a Lucianne Goldberg webcam. But still no glimpse of the future.

Finally, we decided to get the goods from the man himself, Michael Moore. Mike's message archive contains a note from him posted September 30, 1999:

"Bravo is now deciding whether or not to renew the series. They've expressed their desire to do so, and now it's just a matter of the deal getting worked out."

Then he adds:

"This would not be a bad time to send an email to Bravo and let them know that you and your friends would like to see a new season of The Awful Truth."

Looks like without your help, the awful truth is that Michael Moore may soon be back in the unemployment line...
