Dear Yahoo!:
What is the national anthem of Bosnia?
Oh Say, Do You Know
Allston, Massachusetts
Dear Oh Say:
A simple Yahoo! search on "national anthems" quickly led us to the National Anthems category. There we found sub-categories for several individual countries and four sites that offered information on a broad spectrum of national hymns.

After clicking through a number of the general sites, we eventually found a some useful information. The World Anthem Database lists hundreds of national anthems, including Bosnia's. The site offers the lyrics to the song, but, unfortunately for us, not an English translation or an official title for the tune.

Another search was in order. This time we decided to get a little more specific and searched on "Bosnian national anthem" (using quotation marks around the phrase). Three results were returned and after scouring the many links at Bosnian Music: Old and New, we finally hit the jackpot by landing at the Bosnian Music section of a site called "David's Music Collection."

We learned that the Bosnian national anthem is called "Zemljo Tisucljetna" (or "Thousand-Year-Old Land") and was written by Dino Merlin. In addition to reading the lyrics in English and Bosnian, you can also listen to the anthem in RealAudio.
