The fifties were great years for Chevrolets, and we love to see the classics keep cruising, so we hoped we could help. We began, predictably, with a Yahoo! search on "chevy impala parts." The search returned one site, Old Chevy Parts Store, a San Marcos, California, outfit that specializes in new, original, and reproduction parts for 1958-72 Impalas and earlier passenger Chevys. Their site provides a toll-free phone number for ordering, an email address for inquiries, and a detailed online catalog so you can order on the Web. That's one option. We returned to the search results and clicked on the button labeled "Go
To Web Page Matches," which led us to other vendor sites. Danville, Virginia-based Sinclair's Impala Parts accepts online requests for their printed parts catalog. If you live in the United States, they'll mail the catalog to you for free, or you can use their web request form to inquire about a specific part. There are several other Yahoo! resources that might help you locate specialized or hard-to-find items like old car parts: - Yahoo! Shopping - we searched for "impala parts" among the thousands of merchants featured in Yahoo! Shopping. One result led us to DirectPart.com,
an online store with a toll-free telephone number, and an easy-to-use parts catalog. Most of the Impala parts listed date from the nineties, but maybe DirectPart.com could advise you in your search.
- Yahoo! Auctions - takes you on a hit-or-miss hunt for that rare item. We searched on impala parts and found some interesting collector's items, although nothing turned up today for a 1959 Impala.
- Yahoo! Yellow Pages - lets you search for products and services in your local U.S. community much as you would in the phonebook. We found over twenty auto parts purveyors listed in our town by browsing our way
down to the auto parts page after entering our ZIP code.
Send us a photo when you get your Impala up and running, or build your own classic Impala web site, like some hobbyists have.
