Dear Yahoo!:
Where can I find information about beekeeping?
Mark
West Valley City, Utah
Dear Mark:
The Yahoo! Beekeeping category appeared at the top of our search results, so that's where we began. We scrolled down to the "Most Popular Sites" section of the page, wondering if we'd find a sweet source of information.

We visited the Beekeeper's Reference and explored the links there, which led us further to a Bee FAQ featuring a diagram for a popular British hobbyist's hive.

A swarm of sites in the Beekeeping category focuses on the interests and concerns of professional beekeepers and experienced hobbyists, but eventually we discovered a detailed tutorial called Beemaster's Novice Beekeeping Course.

We also found an interesting page about backyard beekeeping in urban and suburban neighborhoods from John's Beekeeping Notebook, created by a Texas beekeeper. John discusses different types of hives, including observation hives and top bar hives.

The ancient art of apiculture is alive and abuzz on the Web. If you want to meet up with other beekeepers online to swap stories or ask advice, stop by the busy Beekeeping communities hosted by Yahoo! Clubs. The conversation keeps humming.
