Dear Yahoo!:
Where can I find a recipe to make chai at home?
Susan
Fairfax, California
Dear Susan:
Chai -- also called masala chai or masala tea -- is an Indian beverage that combines hot tea with spices and milk. It's as popular in India as coffee is in the U.S., and everyone has their own favorite chai recipe. Most recipes steep cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger in the tea and milk concoction.

We typed "chai recipes" in the Yahoo! search box and quickly found the Chai! web site. This comprehensive resource for chai enthusiasts has over 20 different recipes for chai ranging from traditional Indian versions to microwave chai and even a chai milkshake.

If that's not enough, the Chai! web site has another dozen or so recipes for the drink. And if all these recipes are too much trouble, Yahoo!'s commercial Chai category lists companies that sell ready-made chai and chai mixes.
