Dear Yahoo!:
Where can I find a list of all the salaries of NFL players?
Joe
Tavares, Florida
Dear Joe:
We found a fairly recent database of players' salaries on the USA Today web site. The comprehensive listing allows you to browse by name, search for a specific player, or find a salary by team or position. You can also find information on the median salary for a team or the entire payroll for the outfit. Signing bonuses and other bonuses (roster, report, workout) are included as well.

Just for fun, we looked up the top 25 salaries for 2002. The figures are enough to make you wish you never gave up tossing around the ol' pigskin.

To see where NFL players fall in relation to other sports figures, check this handy reference chart. You might be surprised to learn that of all the major sports, the NFL has the lowest average salary. While it's not exactly chicken feed, the average NFL player earns less than one-third of what the average NBA player earns. So if you want to really make yourself feel underappreciated and underpaid, check out the salaries of the top hoop stars.
