Dear Yahoo!:
How can I find out how much my old vinyl records are worth?
Christian
Provo, Utah
Dear Christian:
Despite losing the format wars to CDs and MP3s, vinyl records have retained a loyal following. Our Yahoo! Vinyl category lists several web sites that buy and sell rare, collectible, and mainstream records.

We gave the most popular sites a spin and came to Record Finder. Self-proclaimed "the one stop shop for records, equipments and supplies," the site includes a 200,000 record catalog that includes prices. Vintage Vinyl, named one of the top five indie stores in the U.S. by Rolling Stone, also has an abundant collection. Lastly, we checked out the wickedly titled Dusty Groove America. There you can find just how much your funk, soul, and jazz LPs are worth.

Thinking of selling your old records? Hit up the popular Princeton Record Exchange and tell them you got some groovy musical goodies ready for the taking. Or you can place your vinyl records on Yahoo! Auctions or eBay and see what folks are willing to pay. Of course, for many, the value of vinyl isn't measured in dollars, but in memories.
