To avoid the wrath of Alex Trebek, we'll phrase the answer in the form of a question: What is "Think Music" written by "Jeopardy" creator Merv Griffin? According to the official history of the game show, Griffin wrote the "Jeopardy" tune when he invented the show back in 1964. The multi-talented Merv is perhaps best known for his old talk show, but he started his lengthy career as a musician. He even topped the charts in 1950 with the little ditty, "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts."
Griffin sold "Jeopardy" to Columbia Pictures Television but wisely kept the rights to the 30-second musical theme. So with every Final Jeopardy countdown, Merv adds to his winnings.
