Dear Yahoo!:
Is it true that Ronald Reagan might replace Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill?
Bonzo
Bittsburg
Dear Bonzo:
The Ronald Reagan Legacy Project certainly hopes so. Founded in 1997, the group has had considerable success in naming all manner of buildings, airports, ships, and streets after the former president. Headed by Grover Norquist, its board includes Dick Armey, John Ashcroft, and Karl Rove.

Initial stir about the $10 bill began a few years before Reagan's death. To change the bill requires majority votes in both houses of Congress, and according to CNN , several pieces of legislation are underway. In the Senate, however, cloture rules would let the Democratic minority kill the proposition with a filibuster.

The principal visages on our currency haven't changed since 1929. The Treasury Department is generally averse to messing with the faces, as these issues are obviously politically fraught.

Others have suggested putting Reagan's face on a coin, which doesn't require a Senate mandate. So far, however, the Treasury Department continues to issue a firm "no comment" on the issue.
