Your teacher was right -- there are no stupid questions. But in honor of Ask a Stupid Question Day, which is apparently a genuine "holiday," we thought we'd address a few of the stranger questions we've received. Again, these questions aren't dumb -- they're just, well, different... As you can probably imagine, some questions we get are hyper-specific ("Where does my friend Mary live?"), others are tragically obvious ("How can I tell the difference between a dog and a cat?"), and at least one per day is really, really weird ("How can I teach an aardvark to sing?"). We
suspect almost all are sincere, and we're not ashamed to admit a fair number have stumped us ("Dear Yahoo!, What was the greatest thing before sliced bread?"). Some other notables we've avoided include one that reminded us of something Yogi Berra might ask ("Why is abbreviation such a long word?"), one we refuse to answer on principle ("Whatever happened to the cast of 90210?"), and a question that, if we get one more time, we're going to scream ("What came first, the chicken or the egg?"). But that's not to say we don't tackle the off-beat on occasion. In the past, we've explained why
the sky is blue, whether professional wrestlers have to go to college, and why dogs love sticking their noses out the car window. So go ahead and send us your own off-the-wall questions, because the only stupid question is the one left unasked.
