We weren't exactly sure if you were asking about portable MP3 players like the Diamond Rio or software MP3 players like Winamp. In any case, we did our best to track down information on both. For MP3 hardware, we ditched our usual fine-grain search approach. Instead of searching for "MP3 hardware reviews," we simply went to sites that review hardware and did searches on "MP3." Sure enough, big computer information sites like CNET and ZDNet both cover portable MP3 players. Another lucky guess, MP3.com, netted us good results. MP3.com bills itself as the portal for all things MP3-related,
so it makes sense that they would cover MP3 hardware. As for software MP3 players: Many of the aforementioned sites also cover downloadable MP3 software. Plus, we did do a search on "MP3 software reviews" and found several outlets, among them A Free MP3 Player and Absolutely Free MP3s. Finally, a simple Yahoo! search on "MP3" turned up a nice category, MP3 > Web Directories, which contains all manner of MP3 resources.
